Here's a super-fast rundown of the deal with Tidy Tile-Mapper.
![]() | Construct your Blocks A block is the building-block of your game maps. It may contain many block-sets, representing different orientations (e.g corner blocks, lone blocks, diagonals etc). Each block-set contains multiple variants - to allow you to add a little spice to your maps (e.g grass, grass-with-flower etc). |
Paint your Maps Using the Blocks created in the Block Editor paint your Block-Maps. Use the Paint tool to click-and-drag your selected Block around the map. Use the Paint-Random function to randomly alter the variants of each block as they are placed. Use the Cycle tool to (Cycle - left click) click and cycle through available Blocks. Use the Cycle Variant (Cycle - right click) to cycle through the available Block Variants. | ![]() |
![]() | Publish and Play Click 'Play'. Success! Your map is now trim and terrific, able to be tested instantly. Alternatively, click 'Publish Map' - a prefab will be created, stripping all working blocks and data from the map - ready to be used in your glorious tile-based creations. |
More to come - stay tuned, stay excited!
